Discreetly call for help

AI platform for safety & resilience

An emergency button sends a silent signal – invisible, yet clear to those who protect you.

Panic Button App

In a moment of fear, threat, or uncertainty, every second counts. But what if you can’t speak? Can’t call? Don’t want to be seen?

An alarm, panic or emergency button comes in many different designs. In the past, people often opted for additional hardware, either portable or fixed. If fixed, the buttons were often wired.

We offer links to various alarm buttons on our alarm platform:

Personal alarm

These are buttons carried by an employee as a personal alarm. Think of outreach workers, school teachers, all examples of people who unfortunately sometimes need an alarm button for their personal safety to call for help in case of aggressive behaviour quickly.

Fixed alarm buttons

We also offer fixed buttons mounted on a wall or under a desk. These are used, for example, as consulting room alarms for doctors or local authorities. We also see fixed alarm buttons used for alerting the Company Emergency Response Team.

What makes our solution unique in this market?

MultiBel is more than just an alerting notification system. The MultiBel application also has the Kiwa K21023 Mobile Security certification, a seal of approval for Mobile Alarm Systems. This means that your employees can now quickly and discreetly call for help, and colleagues and/or the Alarm Receiving Centre can listen in and receive the exact location of the colleague. These emergency buttons are part of our lone worker security solution.

Panic Buttons

Panic button in combination with MultiBel app

The panic button is part of our lone worker module. You can activate the panic button security, which allows a button in the MultiBel app to act as a panic button. It is also possible to activate the alarm via the Flic external Bluetooth emergency button. This can be worn and operated invisibly in various ways. The next option is to use the emergency button on the Samsung XCover or the alarm button in the app itself.

LoRaWAN alarm button

By using a LoRaWAN button, you still use the MultiBel platform, but the person who wants to raise an alarm does not need to carry a phone. We offer both LoRaWAN buttons that hang in a fixed position (often used for aggression, panic or to alert the CERT in case of an accident) and buttons that can be worn as personal alarms for lone workers.

Who receives the alert after activating the panic button?

Colleagues receive the location of the colleague in need and can confirm or reject their arrival. By means of the attendance registration, MultiBel knows which colleagues can help quickly. A listening or speaking/listening connection is available to quickly assess the situation. An escalation to our Private Alarm Center is possible. Emergency workers can communicate with each other via the push to talk app and thus coordinate actions.

More control on the situation

Without management tools or without monitoring, you still have no insight into the alarms and the use of an emergency button. MultiBel offers a dashboard in which you can follow an emergency button alert in real time. We also offer an extensive reporting tool. Here you can see who has started an emergency notification in the past, but also who is using the security module at that specific moment.

MultiBel is a certified calling system with a very reliable method. During the alarm, MultiBel can use many different channels. The way in which someone can be reached differs per person but also per moment. The more channels you use for the alert, the greater the chance that that person will be reached. The app breaks the silent mode in iOS and Android.

    Municipality Schagen: A. van Edgmond

We use MultiBel for the Emergency Response Team and the Crisis Team. The system can be armed by pressing an emergency button, by activating the fire alarm, or by reporting a calamity at the reception.

    Municipality Tholen: J.C.A. Moerings

The implementation of MultiBel went well. A clear explanation has been given on site and the system has been delivered in good working order. The people who are called up have independently installed the app using the manual. If necessary, the Helpdesk is easily accessible.

Municipality Den Helder: M. Bakker and R. Wierda

MultiBel still meets our expectations, a good product with good support and good implementation. Elements such as the test modes indicate that the application of the product and its users has been carefully considered.

    Efectis: R. de Feijter

Since February 2019 we have been using the Multibel app at Efectis. In addition to a manual alarm via a tablet at the reception, we also opted for automatic alarm in the event of a fire and the use of the emergency buttons in our fire lab via the IP detector. We have defined different groups in Multibel (first aid, breathing apparatus and crisis team), so that we can call on the right people at any time.

    OVER-gemeenten: E. van der Spek

We also have to deal with empowered residents at the municipality and that sometimes escalates. Especially because we as a municipality have been given extra tasks such as the 'Wet Maatschappelijke Ondersteuning' (WMO) ' 'Social Support Act'. As a result, it sometimes happened that there was aggression at the desk and consultation rooms, but we did not have a suitable solution for calling people on.

    Municipality Brunssum: H. Stoffels

After seeing an extensive demo, the MultiBel account manager reserved time to thoroughly discuss our situation. This made MultiBel our preferred supplier already. Certainly after we compared the quotation with that of some competitors. Our choice was quickly made.

    Saasen

Various relationships asked us how they could simplify and improve communication during an emergency response deployment. It was also important to different scenarios to work. Multibel provided a perfect solution. Our consultants linked the evacuation and emergency plans with the technical infrastructure. By so as partners working together we deliver value to all our customers.

    B. Backhaus

The 'MultiBel' system is very flexible and can be used individually for various purposes or in a wide variety of industries. Commissioning and cooperation with the service provider work smoothly and reliably. Conclusion: an absolute added value for every company ' institution!

    P. Hardt

We have been using MultiBel at our school for some time. Due to increasing violence, we have therefore introduced Multibel as an alarm solution for terrorist attacks and rampages. The well-designed alarm system convinced us. Let's hope we never have to use it for that - but we're definitely prepared for emergencies and have a good feeling of getting help quickly.

What makes our emergency button special?

Our emergency button is part of a full-fledged paging system / emergency notification system. User-friendly, available, break through silent mode, link fire alarm panel, safety of lone workers. We would like to explain what MultiBel offers for the protecting your employees.

Presence registration makes emergency button much more effective

One push of a button and colleagues are alerted. But what if those colleagues need 5 minutes to get to the location? MultiBel works with presence registration that can locate people both indoors and outdoors. If someone presses the emergency button, the system knows where that person is and only those nearby are alerted. The system can also be used to monitor occupancy per location. In case of understaffing, a notification will follow immediately.

    Hardware or smartphone?

Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. Additional hardware has functional advantages. A phone can be taken away or cannot have a connection at that location with a single SIM card. On the other hand, it is expensive to equip all employees with an extra emergency button and that many people do not feel like walking around with an extra button all the time. MultiBel offers various solutions that we are happy to present to you.

Tips for choosing an emergency button

There are many different versions of an emergency button, panic button or alarm button. We would like to give you tips on what you can pay attention to when choosing the right emergency button for lone workers.

    Who Uses Our Emergency Button?

Our emergency button is used by a wide range of organizations, including retail stores, housing corporations, municipalities, youth care services, general practitioners, mental health institutions, home care providers, forensic care facilities, bailiffs, hospitals, media companies, hotels, and schools. All these users rely on our emergency button, which is integrated with the MultiBel safety platform.

The panic button can be a portable device, a button in the phone app, or a fixed, mounted button. A portable personal alarm can be used in cases of aggression, robbery, or accidents. In a fixed setup, it is often used as a consultation room emergency button to protect employees from aggressive visitors. A fixed alarm button offers several advantages: it is wireless, operates independently of power outages, and can be discreetly activated. Our aggression alarm button (or panic button) is equipped with a multi-SIM card and automatically selects the strongest network.

MultiBel can alert dozens of people within seconds. The platform stops alerting as soon as enough responders have confirmed. With just one press of the button, nearby colleagues are notified and come to help. This gives employees the confidence that both management and colleagues are aware of the situation and that help is on the way.

Is the MultiBel Alarm Button Comparable to a Senior Alarm?

Both the MultiBel alarm button and a Personal Alarm designed for elderly are designed to quickly summon help in emergency situations with a single press of a button. However, there are significant differences.

While MultiBel’s alarm button always utilizes location tracking, many elderly personal alarms do not. An elderly alarm is often tied to a fixed location, such as a home or care facility. The alarm button for seniors is typically a wearable device, such as a necklace or wristband. MultiBel offers both portable and fixed buttons (such as under a counter or mounted on a wall), and an in-app alarm button.

The biggest difference, however, is not just the target audience (seniors vs. professionals) or the button format. The key distinction lies in the underlying solution. When a user presses the MultiBel button, colleagues who are present are immediately alerted. This makes our alarm button ideal for professionals such as mobile healthcare workers, WMO teams, or social district teams who are not tied to a single location. Additionally, an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) can be activated, which can take immediate action and access all necessary information to quickly send help.

With MultiBel, it’s not just location data that is transmitted. There is also the option to enable a listen-in function (for example, to hear an aggressive customer or robber) or establish a direct voice connection with the person who pressed the button.

We secretly believe that elderly personal alarm systems could learn a thing or two from us. While most senior alarm providers can only notify a care center and a few caregivers, MultiBel can reach dozens of people within seconds and escalate the alert if not enough responders are available.
